- colleagues:
- Good morning, Steve,
- Good morning, how is it going?
- Not too bad, thanks, how are you?
- Not bad, quite good actually... Had a relaxing weekend, we went away to visit my parents, we took the kids, spent some time in the fresh air, so not too bad at all, how was yours ?
- Ah, I spent mine at home, but it's good to have a calm weekend from time to time
- It sure is! We've got a meeting with the client later on so we'd better have a lot of positive energy to go through it!
- That's right, and you know those documents that we were supposed to bring to the meeting .......
'see you around' - do zobaczenia póżniej
- in the lift:
- yes, I am.
- 3rd and 4th, there you go! It's cold out there, isn't it?
- It definitely is, and I didn't take an umbrella today...
- oh gosh, but you know what, I've got an umbrella but my car is at the garage and will need to go all the way up to Oxford Street to catch a bus from there, so the odds are that I will get soaked to the skin by the time I get there anyway..
- oh no, that's quite bad luck, isn't it. It never rained so much in winter before, we used to get snow instead of mud..
- exactly! I don't know, and it doesn't even feel like Christmas because of that rain !
- no it doesn't...imagine doing all that Christmas shopping in that rain..
- not encouraging at all ..
-well, that's my floor, see you later
- see you !
lub:
- thanks for holding the door
- no problem
(i tyle :D )
- on the bus / on the tube :
- yes, sure!
- thank you. Where are yo getting off ?
- erm.. it's another 20 minutes, at Croydon, so don't worry
- ok,just let me know and I will let you out. I've got all the shopping here, as if they couldn't get it all into just one bag...
- shopping for Christmas?
- yes and no, just some stuff for the dinner as well.. You live in Croydon?
- yes, just at the moment..
lub:
- where are you from ?
- I'm from Poland
- nice, how long have you been here ?
- for three years now. And you ? are you from London?
- No, I come from Scotland but I moved to London when I was a little kid
